This course introduces the student to the ministry of counseling from a biblical perspective, the role of the biblical counselor, and the benefits of biblical counseling within the church. It explores the foundational differences between biblical and secular psychology, defines the nouthetic approach established by Dr. Jay Adams, and examines the role of Scripture as a sufficient resource for spiritual growth and transformation. Students will learn the counselor's responsibilities, biblical examples of guidance, and how the Holy Spirit drives the healing process.
